Polyaspartic concrete floor coatings although gaining popularity among the public, is still relatively an unknown product. However if you plan to resurface the car garage floor you may want to learn more about it before proceding. Polyaspartic concrete coatings are superior to epoxy coatings in several aspects. Polyaspartic can be applied virtually in all types of temperatures and cure much more rapidly then epoxy that can take up to a full week to fully cure.
Polyaspartic concrete coatings are not UV sensitive and will not yellow over time as epoxy often does from sun exposure. Polyaspartic concrete sealer generally stands up to abrasion and chemical resistance better then epoxy sealers.
The only draw back with polyaspartic coatings is that it is considerably more expensive in fact about twice the cost of a good epoxy sealer but is well worth the investment in terms of floor protection, appearance, and longevity. We resurface dozens of residential car garages annually and offer unique metallic as well as vinyl or granite chips and decorative metallic polyaspartic or premium epoxy floor finishes in interior concrete floors that do not get much UV exposure.
